On the occasion of Iraqi Women’s Day, and as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen social cohesion and peaceful coexistence, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Presidency of the University of Al-Hamdaniya, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Law, organized a field visit for the university’s female staff to the Monastery of Jesus the Redeemer in Al-Hamdaniya district on Tuesday, March 3rd.

This initiative aimed to consolidate the values of openness toward the local community and its diverse components, while deepening the spirit of interfaith fraternity in the region. The university delegation was received by Father Fadi, who delivered an insightful lecture highlighting the high status of women in Christianity and their pivotal role in building families and society.

During the visit, Father Fadi accompanied the delegation on an introductory tour through the monastery’s corridors and its library, which houses significant historical and intellectual treasures. In recognition of their scientific and educational roles, he presented a number of books as gifts to the staff members. The visit concluded with commemorative group photographs documenting this national occasion, embodying the unity of the Iraqi identity under the principles of brotherhood and love.
