Under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, and within the framework of joint scientific cooperation between the colleges of Al-Hamdaniya University, the College of Law participated today, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in organizing a specialized scientific workshop titled “Mechanisms for Enhancing Women’s Rights and Equality in Rights,” which was hosted by the College of Administration and Economics.

The workshop witnessed a qualitative participation from the faculty members of the College of Law, where the following individuals lectured:

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Muath Mohammed Yaqub.
  • Assistant Lecturer Tawfiq Abdul-Hafiz Tawfiq.

The research papers presented during the workshop addressed the legal and legislative frameworks guaranteeing women’s rights, shedding light on the international and national mechanisms capable of achieving equality in rights and duties. The lecturers also emphasized the importance of activating the role of academic institutions in spreading legal awareness that safeguards women’s dignity and enhances their status in society and state institutions.

This participation comes to reflect the vision of the College of Law in being open to the university’s colleges and the community, providing specialized legal expertise that contributes to addressing contemporary human and legal issues, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the university’s strategic plans.
