Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Hamdaniya, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, and with the participation of Professor Dr. Anas Mahmoud Khalaf Al-Jubouri, Dean of the College, the College of Law contributed to an awareness workshop titled: “Narcotics: A Silent Danger Threatening Individuals and Society.” The workshop was organized by the Continuing Education Center in cooperation with the Department of Media and Government Communication and the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Nineveh, on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College, alongside the Head of the Law Department and an elite group of faculty members, staff, and students. The proceedings addressed vital themes focusing on the grave consequences of narcotics from medical, social, and legal perspectives, while reviewing strategies to curb their spread.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of integration between educational institutions and security authorities to consolidate a culture of prevention. It further highlighted the university’s role as a beacon of awareness, protecting youth from risks that threaten the security and stability of society.
