On the occasion of the National Mass Graves Day, and to commemorate the victims of mass graves and the brutality of the crimes committed against the Iraqi people, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Law organized an awareness campaign that included distributing brochures to students, faculty members, and staff at the college.
The campaign aimed to shed light on this painful national occasion, and to enhance legal and humanitarian awareness regarding the importance of documenting these crimes and ensuring they are never repeated. Additionally, it highlighted the role of international and domestic law in protecting the rights of victims and their families. The campaign witnessed great engagement from the academic and administrative community, as well as the students, who emphasized the importance of commemorating such occasions to consolidate the values of justice and human rights in society.
