Under the auspices of the President of Al-Hamdaniya University, Prof. Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Anas Mahmoud Khalaf, the College of Law organized a comprehensive educational and cultural visit on Thursday, April 16, 2026, to the “Ancestors Museum” (Mathaf al-Aslaf) in Al-Hamdaniya district. This initiative falls within the framework of joint cooperation with the Cultural Center (Al-Bayt al-Thaqafi) to enhance national heritage awareness and bridge the gap between academic studies and the region’s cultural legacy.
The delegation was received by Ms. Ghada Fasih, the museum’s owner, who welcomed this academic initiative. The visiting group included a selection of faculty members, staff, and students who toured the museum’s halls to view historical artifacts and antiquities documenting the lifestyles, social systems, and values of past eras.
Representatives from the museum and the Cultural Center provided a detailed explanation of the history of these collections and their significance in shaping the community’s cultural identity. The visit also featured extensive discussions between academics and specialists regarding the legal protection of cultural property and the role of university institutions in instilling civilizational values in younger generations. At the conclusion of the tour, the participants emphasized the importance of continuing such field visits, which enrich the knowledge base of staff, faculty, and students alike, opening new horizons for fruitful cooperation between the university and cultural institutions in the district.
