On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the College of Law organized a scientific and awareness-raising workshop titled “Local and International Legislations in Combating Corruption,” which was delivered by Assistant Lecturer (Maysaa Hisham Bahjat). This event comes in alignment with the implementation of the anti-corruption action plan for the first half of 2026. The workshop witnessed a distinguished attendance of professors, researchers, and individuals interested in legal affairs, during which the researcher provided a comprehensive explanation of the legal frameworks and mechanisms followed at the national level to enhance the values of integrity, while highlighting the relevant international treaties and conventions on combating corruption and the extent to which local laws align with them. The workshop also discussed the vital role of academic institutions in spreading legal awareness and supporting regulatory bodies. At its conclusion, the session witnessed extensive discussions and valuable interventions from the attendees, who emphasized the importance of activating these legislations and integrating efforts to achieve the objectives of the plan effectively.
