Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Hamdaniya, Prof. Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Anas Mahmoud Khalaf, Dean of the College, the Women’s Affairs Unit organized a workshop entitled “Legal Literacy in Facing Modern Technical Challenges.”

The workshop, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Radwan Hashim Hamdoon, aimed to shed light on the legal dimensions associated with rapid digital transformations. It primarily focused on building cognitive and legal immunity among individuals to confront threats and risks arising from the misuse of modern technologies, such as cyber-extortion and information breaches.

During the workshop, the lecturer reviewed mechanisms for reconciling existing legislative texts with evolving technical challenges, emphasizing the role of legal culture in enhancing social protection and ensuring a secure digital environment. This effort aligns directly with the objectives of the Executive Plan of the National Strategy for Iraqi Women 2026, which seeks to legally empower women and protect their privacy and presence in the digital space against any form of exploitation or cyber-harassment, thereby ensuring their sustainable and effective participation in society under a conscious and contemporary legal umbrella.
