Under the patronage of the President of Al-Hamdaniya University, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, the College of Law organized a workshop coinciding with the National Afforestation Day celebrations. The workshop was delivered by Ms. Shaima Qais Qasim, Head of the Quality Assurance Division, today, Thursday, March 12, 2026.
The workshop addressed multiple themes, where the lecturer reviewed the legal and environmental mechanisms to support afforestation initiatives and how to activate the role of academic institutions in facing climate challenges. The workshop also focused on the practical aspect of selecting tree species suitable for the local environment and methods of caring for them. The event witnessed a notable attendance of faculty members, where the floor was opened for discussion to present ideas and proposals aimed at enhancing the vegetation cover within the university and its surrounding areas.
