In line with its ongoing efforts to enhance its academic standing and keep pace with contemporary educational trends, the College of Education for Humanities, in collaboration with the Iraqi Association for Educational and Psychological Studies, organized a training workshop titled “Green Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Strategies for Achieving Sustainable Development.” The event featured the participation of distinguished faculty members from the Universities of Mosul and Tikrit.

The workshop comprised three pivotal research papers:

First Paper: Professor Dr. Tariq Hashim Khamis (University of Tikrit) explored the fundamental concepts, nature, and tools of Green Education.

Second Paper: Professor Dr. Fathi Taha Mashal (University of Mosul) addressed Sustainable Education, focusing on theoretical frameworks and practical applications.

Third Paper: Professor Dr. Nidhal Muzahim Rasheed (University of Tikrit) concluded the session by highlighting the diverse applications of Artificial Intelligence within the educational sector.

Attended by a group of professors, faculty members, and students, the workshop concluded with several key recommendations. Most notably, it emphasized the necessity of keeping pace with technological advancements in research and pedagogy. It further advocated for the adoption of open and progressive educational policies, aligning with the university’s strategic vision to support research initiatives and bolster its academic and competitive excellence.
