As part of the scientific activities of the Faculty of Law at Al-Hamdaniya University, Professor Dr. Anas Mahmoud Khalaf Al-Jubouri participated as a member of a Master’s Thesis Defense Committee on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the Faculty of Law, University of Mosul.
The session involved the defense of the Master’s thesis titled: “Crimes Affecting Religious Sentiment: A Comparative Study,” submitted by the student Ibrar Mahdi Saleh Mar’i Al-Dulaimi. The study examined crimes that infringe upon religious sentiment as a fundamental component of religious freedom, evaluating the necessity of its legal protection. Furthermore, it clarified the legal concept of religious sentiment and the boundaries of its protection in light of comparative criminal laws.
At the conclusion of the defense, the committee praised the scientific effort exerted in the thesis, highlighting its comparative legal treatment of a subject with significant intellectual and social importance. The committee wished the student continued success in her academic career.
